Role: Game Design Lead and Level Designer

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and manage the Earthfall design team
  • Collaborate daily with Art and Engineering to deliver features and content
  • Manage difficulty tuning and overall player experience including:
    • enemy creature behaviors, abilities and difficulty
    • weapon balance and tuning
    • moment to moment gameplay tuning via our enemy director system
  • Responsible for the design and white boxing of campaign levels using Unreal 4
  • Gameplay scripting using Unreal 4’s Blueprint visual scripting language

Levels:

  • “Supply Run”  I white-boxed and scripted the entirety of game play using Unreal Blueprints

  • “Data Center” I white-boxed and scripted the entirety of game play using Unreal Blueprints

  • “Breakdown” I took over the level and reworked the majority of the mission structure and added the Van payload.
